HARRISBURG – Legislation designed to promote better treatment of and education about Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses was approved by the House Human Services Committee and sent to the floor, Rep. Dick Hess (R-Bedford/Fulton/Huntingdon) said Wednesday. Hess ushered the bill through the committee process, culminating in a nearly unanimous vote of 19 to 1.

Rep. Dick Hess (R-Bedford/Fulton/Huntingdon) has sponsored a bill that will repeal a government mandate requiring businesses to remit Sales and Use Taxes to the Commonwealth twice a month, as opposed to once a month as they are currently required to do. The bill passed the House Finance Committee unanimously Monday.
